![]() ![]() It's a good spectacle, it feels big and important. Multiple armies, various acts, an overall epic feeling. My impressions on why RD is loved boil down to 5 basic reasons:ġ.- People liked having closure to PoR's story and seeing more of their favorite characters while getting new characters to love as well.Ģ.- The game has a very ambitious scope. However, my opinion on RD specifically has changed for the better. I also have somewhat of a distaste for RD (and both of the Tellius games, honestly). If you enjoy the game due to nostalgia, that's fine, but I genuinely want to know why it seems like everyone likes this game, if it is just out of nostalgia or if there is something I'm missing. I can go more into detail about why but just as a TLDR, almost every unit besides trueblades (which are built for speed) can't double, and nihil is so annoying (And I get that final chapters are meant to be hard, my issue is that classes which are built for speed and skill, are made useless). I had to play back through the final chapter so that I could pick better units that were better for just that fight. Like the game throws so many reinforcements at you, the enemy phase takes forever both due to reinforcements and just the base amount of enemies, and then there is the final boss fight. ![]() Like I get that it's some people's first Fire Emblem game so there is a nostalgia factor, and like there are some good parts about it but overall, it's just not great.
